CROATIA TRIP

Croatia has recently become avery popular tourist place. Each summer, hundreds of thousands of Europeans drive and fly to the country to enjoy the long and scenic Adriatic coastline. When we entered the country, we could see why so many people like it. There are many old Roman cities along the coast, with the stylish and restored Dubrovnik the most visited.

We really enjoyed going out tothe island of Hvar, a 75 km wide island with a thriving city (Hvar) at one end, and the remains of the Stari Grad Plain World Heritage Site in the middle. We spent a day driving around the twisting road that goes down the central ridge of the island.

We also enjoyed the Plitvice Lakes National Park, a World Heritage park with 16 turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and relaxing walking trails.
