Serbia is not often thought of as a popular place to visit, due to its recent history. We were not sure what to expect when we visited, but were pleasantly surprised. We were happy to meet the people of Serbia, as they were very nice to us.
We enjoyed many places in the country. We camped one night near the historic Danube River. A local woman was kind enough to give us free corn from her farm.
We thought the most memorable place was the southern city of Novi Pazar, which has many mosques and unique buildings. With its narrow streets and lively markets, it felt like we were in Turkey.
