We really enjoyed going out tothe island of Hvar, a 75 km wide island with a thriving city (Hvar) at one end, and the remains of the Stari Grad Plain World Heritage Site in the middle. We spent a day driving around the twisting road that goes down the central ridge of the island.
We also enjoyed the Plitvice Lakes National Park, a World Heritage park with 16 turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and relaxing walking trails.
